Daily Photography Gear News & Reviews Roundup – Nov. 11

Canon finally revealed the long-awaited successor to its aging 100-400mm lens, the new EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS II USM. It offers four stops of stabilization and does away with the old lens’s push-pull design. Price is $2,200. Available in December. So far, no hands-on impressions on the web.

The Phoblographer reviewed the Canon Powershot G7x, Canon’s answer to Sony’s RX100 III. Gives it three stars.

Two superzooms are featured in reviews on Camera Labs: the Canon SX400 IS and the Sony Cybershot H400. Gordon is mixed about either.
